Radio Interview Marthe Wassink 

Marthe Wassink, one of our PaRCA project members from TU Delft, was recently interviewed on the Dutch radio program Nacht van de Wetenschap ("Night of Science", at NPO Radio 1). During the conversation, she spoke about her research on sediment transport in the Wadden Sea, and how it will be affected by climate change. 

The interview took place under unusual circumstances, Marthe joined live from a campsite in Hamburg at 4:30 in the morning. The following days she biked from Hamburg to Sylt, to join our common fieldwork campaign on the island.

PaRCA presented at Open Ship Event at RV SENCKENBERG, 49th Jade Bay Weekend, Wilhelmshaven 

The SENCKENBERG team presented the PaRCA project to the public at the annual Jade Bay Festival in Wilhelmshaven (4–6 July 2025). Over the course of three days, more than 1,600 visitors came  on board. 

Iryna Kapshyna and Gritta Veit-Köhler presented their poster „PaRCA - Wege zur Klimaanpassung im Wattenmeer: Das Leben kleiner Tiere zwischen Ebbe und Flut“ to the guests, discussing the implications of their study for the region. Jule Wilsenack supervised the microscope station and presented meiofauna and plankton organisms to the visitors.
